Doctors

  • Dr Max Dutson – BM BS (Nottm 1995) MRCGP DRCOG DTM
Days of work – every weekday except Tuesday.
Dr Dutson trained in Nottingham and soon moved down to Cornwall where he has been on and off since 1996. He qualified as a GP in Newquay in 2000 then settled down as a partner here in 2006 after locuming mostly in Cornwall and Bristol. During this period of locuming, having obtained his tropical medicine diploma in Liverpool, he also worked for Medecins Sans Frontieres in Ethiopia and Action Contre La Faim in Zimbabwe. Fascinating stuff!
Dr Dutson loves working in a small community such as Wadebridge. We have a great team which he is proud to be part of and feels that being a family doctor is such a privilege. Outside of work Dr Dutson is an enthusiastic scout leader and loves spending time outdoors with or without his wife and 2 girls.

Dr Harris trained locally at the Peninsula Medical School undertaking placements in Plymouth and Truro and qualified as a doctor in 2011. Dr Harris completed her registrar post at Probus Surgery in 2016 and followed this by working as a locum in various practices throughout Cornwall. After enjoying working here at Wadebridge as a locum, she joined the team as a salaried doctor in January 2018. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and being a part of the community and relishes the challenges that each day brings (although she is less keen on all the paperwork!) With her free time Dr Harris enjoys spending time with family and friends, making the most of the fantastic countryside we have here on our doorstep and parenting her two cats!
